Service eligibility and regional restrictions
PuppyIP serves only compliant overseas businesses and their authorized personnel. Proxy services are not available in mainland China. The service may only be used for lawful business activities outside mainland China. Use of this service within mainland China is prohibited.
Hosting a proxy IP or server overseas does not change these restrictions. The service must not be provided to end users in mainland China through relaying, forwarding, sharing or resale. Before use, read the Terms of Service.
Key Takeaways
- The announcement targets new customers, with entry points on supported Hugging Face model pages and SageMaker Studio’s Get Started page. Existing accounts need not be rebuilt because of it.
- The generic new-signup guide warns that access is limited to some customers and payment information may be required. People ineligible for the Free Tier enter the Paid Plan.
- Free credits are not unlimited use. The GPU-access statement explicitly applies to verified customers and provides no universal free-GPU allowance.
- Studio service availability and the initial project’s Region assignment are separate scopes. The established single-user Quick setup is also a different procedure.
The new entry removes initial setup, not the underlying AWS resources
AWS’s official What’s New feed announced on October 14, 2026 that new SageMaker Studio customers can use Google, GitHub or Apple credentials to enter a configured Studio environment. It describes no traditional AWS account setup, credit card or console navigation, shortening the path from discovering a model to starting work.
This does not mean there is no underlying AWS account or permission system. The current generic signup guide organizes resources into projects, each containing an AWS account and collaboration settings, with AWS Settings for projects, members and billing. The announcement’s standalone page returned 404 when checked; this explanation uses the complete official feed item and two accessible official guides.
Check free eligibility and verification before relying on “no credit card”
The announced simplified path requires no credit card, but the linked generic Sign up for AWS (new) guide also warns that the experience is being released to a limited number of customers and may not yet be available to you. It says payment information may be requested, with a temporary USD 1 or equivalent hold for 3–5 days to verify the account.
The same guide says charges do not begin until a paid upgrade. However, applicants ineligible for the Free Tier must provide payment information and start on the Paid Plan. Do not read the announcement as universal card-free signup or permanently free service. If the actual page requests verification or payment, check the displayed plan and conditions before continuing.
Start from a supported model or Studio entry and check the identity
The announcement points to Customize and Deploy on SageMaker AI or Deploy on SageMaker AI on a supported Hugging Face model page, or Get Started on the SageMaker Studio page. These are the announced entry points. Whether a selected model offers the button and your account can enter depends on what the actual page provides.
Follow the signup page’s required identity, email and contact verification. The generic guide supports Google, GitHub, Apple, Amazon or email and says an existing Google login in the browser will be used for signup. The Studio announcement names only the first three social providers, so the broader guide does not establish Amazon sign-in for this particular Studio entry.
Treat credits, paid upgrades and GPU access as separate conditions
The announcement says new customers receive AWS Free Tier credits and can fine-tune, evaluate and deploy foundation models in a ready-to-use Studio environment. Projects can upgrade to a paid plan and set a spend limit when they outgrow free credits. The generic guide describes a paid project’s spend limit as a monthly pre-tax cost limit. These sources provide no credit amount or expiry that this article can promise.
The GPU statement has its own condition: verified customers continue to receive default access to G5, G6, G6e and G4dn across endpoint deployments, training jobs and notebooks without requesting quota increases. That does not give every new registrant free GPUs or make instance use, training and running endpoints free of charges.
Do not merge service Regions with the first project’s assignment
The Studio announcement says the feature is available in all AWS Commercial Regions where Studio is supported. That is not every AWS Region and does not replace account-level signup eligibility. The sources do not provide a country-by-country or account rollout matrix that can be guaranteed here.
Separately, the generic new-signup guide says the first project is provisioned in one of three AWS Regions, without naming those three on the page reviewed. That concerns initial project provisioning. It does not establish that Studio social sign-in is limited to three Regions or that any Region can be selected at initial creation.
For an existing environment, distinguish the established Quick setup
The other linked guide describes the established single-user Quick setup: open Admin configurations and Domains in the SageMaker AI console, then choose Create domain and Set up for single user. It automatically creates a domain and user profile and configures execution roles, an S3 bucket and a VPC. It is not a screen-by-screen social-sign-in walkthrough.
That path can attach broad managed permissions and does not create EFS by default. An existing organization should select its setup around permission, network and storage requirements. For a hypothetical team with an approved VPC and roles, the environment owner should check those rules before creating another default domain merely to try a new login.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which identity is used if a different Google account is already signed in?
The generic signup guide explicitly says the Google account already signed in through the browser will be used. Check the displayed identity and email before authorization, particularly when a team requires a specific identity.
Do I need another AWS Builder ID if I already have one?
The generic guide says there can be only one AWS Builder ID per email and new signup creates a personal Builder ID. If you already have a Builder ID but no AWS account, some settings may already exist and need adjustment later. The new entry does not establish a requirement to duplicate that identity.
Does inviting a colleague share the entire AWS environment?
The announcement says colleagues use their own social credentials to access the shared Studio environment, including shared models, notebooks and endpoints. The generic guide manages collaboration through projects. It does not equate an invitation with every permission in an organization. Confirm the project and resources before inviting under the current interface and organizational rules.
